- single composable state layer allows us to have fully-integrated exchange (launchpad, amm, spot clob, perps clob) -> no distinction between core and evm.
- this allows us to elegantly work with other protocols like morpho, aave, etc for things like multi-collateral
- consensus out of critical path allows for faster blocktimes, same latency as binance (hype is 70ms, we will be 1-5). fifo ordering allows true price-time priority (hype has a speed bump because of colocation).

all of these are just technical details, however. the end state should be a product that feels fundamentally different because we made these tech trade offs.
