🇺🇸🇮🇹 The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to Italy of XX AIM-120D-3 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM), XX AIM-120C-8 AMRAAMs, and other associated equipment and services for an estimated cost of $XXX million.

AMRAAM unit cost is ~$1 million.

The prime contractor would be Raytheon.

"The description and dollar value are for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded."
