The Baker Hughes U.S. rig count slipped again in the latest week, the eighth consecutive weekly drop. The number of operating wells is now the lowest since November 2021. "Drill Baby Drill" had nothing to do with the prior decline in oil prices that temporarily reduced CPI gains.
