Despite the SEC's alleged attempts to protect him, Stanford was indicted n 2009, convicted in 2015, sentenced to XXX years and in January 2025 ordered to pay $XXX Billion And billionaires don't do so well in prison ""Now, nearly one year in detention later, Mr. Stanford's incarceration has reduced him to a wreck of a man," Bennett wrote..... Bennett said Stanford can no longer see out of his right eye or feel anything on the right side of his face after he was beaten by an inmate last year...." The people he ripped off had to fight for years.... "...In their lawsuit, the investors claim that on four instances and as early as 1997, the SEC determined that Stanford was running a Ponzi scheme. Still, the agency did not act accordingly and failed to notify the Securities Investor Protection Corporation. The government moved to dismiss the case, but U.S. District Judge Robert Scola rejected the motion.
