Immutable zkEVM already handled 150M txs since early 2024 it's now open to any contract deployer & has better infra for scaling games by moving the X ecosystem over: • games get access to DeFi-native tooling • low-value items can become ERC1155s (more liquid) • more bridges & fiat onramps • no more trade-offs between performance and composability Guild of Guardians made the switch last year now everyone follows ▫️wallets adjust automatically if you're on Passport: your assets show up there if you used Metamask: same wallet, just on zkEVM if you used Immutable Link: that setup gets phased out custodial wallets need to activate zkEVM (chain ID: 13371) manual bridging is optional - default is full migration ▫️for devs & games, some rewiring needed Immutable X APIs are getting deprecated. that means: • RPCs must switch to the zkEVM endpoint • 'Link' auth flows get replaced by regular wallet interactions • X-specific SDK stuff will stop working contracts based on standard templates (ERC20/721) will be redeployed on zkEVM • Immutable pays gas • same project keeps contract ownership • if a project wants ERC1155s or other formats - they need to request it before April 2025 ▫️staking gets moved too $IMX staking ends on Immutable X on June XX users get funds + final rewards back automatically if you want to keep staking: • bridge IMX to zkEVM • stake manually when new program opens waiting for the merge also works - assets will move over, but staking will still need to be re-done manually ▫️new zkEVM staking: here’s how it works starts June XX to earn rewards: • stake IMX (no min amount) • trade at least X NFT on a supported marketplace during the 2-week cycle • keep stake active until cycle ends popular marketplaces: @TokenTrove, @OKX, Sphere (buildonbeam) reward formula looks at both how much you stake and how long you hold Passport, Metamask, Rabby all supported all flows, tokens, & staking now point to zkEVM the ecosystem is getting flattened into one shared zone bringing devs, users and liquidity into one chain is step one. making them stay is what comes next. let's see how it plays out.
