NEW: Father blames missing pool cover and being distracted by newborn after his toddler drowned in backyard pool

Emilie Kiser, a popular TikTok mommy blogger, lost her 3-year-old son, Trigg, on May 18, six days after he was found unresponsive in their backyard pool in Chandler, Arizona

Trigg's father, Brady Kiser, was home caring for him and their newborn while Emilie was out with friends

Brady let Trigg play in the backyard after lunch, according to reports

The pool was usually covered, but this time it wasn’t

Brady told police he was “soon distracted” by the newborn and only looked away for “three to five minutes.”

When he looked back, he saw Trigg floating in the pool

He jumped in, pulled him out, and called XXX

Investigators found two outdoor cameras and are now working to obtain the footage to verify Brady’s version of events
