It was the single deadliest day for USMC since the Battle of Iwo Jima. The Iranians are, and have been enemies of the United States since 1979. They have constantly, and consistently shown themselves to be just that, our enemies. Throughout the duration of US involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran was heavily involved in opposing US and Coalition forces. They harbored and trained terrorists/insurgents, provided funding and munitions, and helped build Improvised Explosive Devices. Entire networks of insurgents were hosted in Iran, allowed to plan and organize, and run operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran hates the United States of America. I don't want war with Iran either, but I also don't trust them with nukes. If they were rational actors, maybe, but they're not rational actors. Their entire theological system of belief embraces chaos in order to bring back the "12th Mahdi." It's literally a doomsday religion of the worst kind. If the entire world goes to absolute Hell, including Iran, they're good with that. It's insane. A lot of people are going to be upset about any level of US involvement against Iran, but I agree with @POTUS @realDonaldTrump: Iran cannot be allowed to have nukes. It's not just about Israel.
