The Recording Academy announces that starting at the 2026 #GRAMMYs, Best Country Album will be split into X new categories: Best Contemporary Country Album and Best Traditional Country Album.

This comes following Beyoncé’s ‘COWBOY CARTER’ winning Best Country Album at the 2025 GRAMMYs.
