Very simple, even as the most awarded African artist, the most streamed, and the most paid. Hookup culture, cybercrime, and money laundering have made people lose respect for genuine wins. Wizkid is a model to everyone who believes in genuine hustle. From a studio boy, to hype man, to backup singer, and now the face of Afrobeats, his journey should be in the Nigerian school curriculum. No wonder some schools abroad study Wizkid as a course. It is sad to see people from the same struggling background constantly trolling and calling him poor, instead of using him as an inspiration. Wizkid is highly influential, very successful, and doing great in global real estate. If he is a show off, many would be intimidated, but he keeps that part of his life private and uses his music to inspire the world. It was the constant calling of poor that made him to show off those cars during Christmas. And it was even his team that pushed that to the media. He is a very reserved star. To him, showing off would discourage young artists struggling to break through. It would give the wrong impression that music is a billionaire-dollar business, rather than a display of talent and passion. The whole of yesterday, Tunde the paid blog, Gossip Mill, and Instablog refused to celebrate this legendary documentary, because they are allegedly only paid to post negative things about him. Thank you to all of you who continued to support and love him despite all the campaign of calumny.
