A 4-year-old girl was raped and struck in the head with a brick several times by her neighbour in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, after she tried to resist.

The incident happened in Kanpur Nagar district's Ghatampur on Tuesday evening. Around XXXX pm, the girl went to a nearby shop, according to her father. Near the shop, a young man from the same locality lured the girl and took him to a shrine behind the shop on the pretext of giving her chocolate.
