$REGN $MEHCQ -  Rep James Comer on CNBC says is looking into Regeneron's purchase of bankrupt 23andMe
-he is investigating Regeneron bc of its close ties to the Chinese Communist Party, 
-asked by @BeckyQuick as to what those ties were since REGN is a respected US biotech in the S&P500 w/ a $55B mkt cap whose CEO has been on @CBNC many times, Comer would not elaborate as to what the ties were.
-per @grok:  There is no substantiated evidence that Regeneron Pharmaceuticals has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Unlike Chinese firms like WuXi AppTec or BGI, Regeneron is not named in U.S. national security concerns, congressional bans, or credible reports of CCP collaboration. Indirect connections (e.g., leadership with Chinese academic backgrounds or global partnerships) exist but lack evidence of CCP influence.
