I know eventually people will be able to buy subnets without the need for $TAO

But I personally hope it never happens

$TAO should be kept as the central unit of value and remain as the on/off ramp for alphas

Removing that turns #Bittensor into just another fractured multichain marketplace with no cohesive economy or base layer incentive loop

People will argue it's more important to increase access..

I would argue it isn't if it comes at the cost of eroding the very foundation that gives $TAO its utility and value
