The agentic economy is built on seamless cooperation between humans and robots, evolving into a dynamic ecosystem where robots communicate not only with humans but also with each other. Over the past two years, we've witnessed humans and robots engaging in natural language interactions. However, a more transformative breakthrough is emerging: a world where robots collaborate directly with other robots, forming intelligent, self-sustaining networks.

How Many Robots Will Shape the Future?
When we talk about "robots," we refer to self-propelled intelligent systems, whether embodied (physical robots) or non-embodied (dialogue bots, software agents). Predicting their growth, I envision tens of millions of bots within the next five years—potentially matching the number of websites today. Protocols like MCP or A2A could serve as the foundation for these robot-to-robot interactions, enabling coordinated workflows and collaboration.

A New Organizational Structure
This rise of intelligent agents is reshaping traditional organizational models, replacing rigid hierarchies with fluid, networked systems. 

Key features include:

Networked Collaboration: Groups of agents (swarms) take on diverse roles—market analysts, product designers, customer service representatives, or financial auditors. These agents trade services, collaborate on tasks, and endorse each other’s credibility based on preset rules or dynamic agreements.

Value-Driven Operations: Smart agents may use "credentials of value" (such as tokens, points, or contribution metrics) to incentivize efficient collaboration and high-quality service. This creates a self-operating, value-driven ecosystem, aligning with the principles of Web3.

In this vision, AI drives efficiency, while Web3 ensures fairness, creating a synergistic framework for collaboration. For further insights, explore discussions on AI-Web3 integration to understand potential mechanisms for this partnership.

 Imagining the Intelligent Value Network

- ✅ The potential for an "AI tax" to regulate agent interactions.

The Role of Humans in the Agentic Economy
As this ecosystem evolves, humans transition from being controllers of AI to orchestrators of intelligent systems. Rather than merely using AI tools, humans will design the roles, interfaces, and trust boundaries for these agents. This shift creates a symbiotic "human-intelligent agent" economic network, where the collective value of the system far exceeds the capabilities of any single agent.
