the recent statement by airwallex founder dismissing stablecoin as not any better than tradfi triggered a deeper question for me: 

why shud agents commerce happen onchain vs offchain (stripe / banks / visa)?

the core argument is NOT about cost of payment but rather the cost of risk.

risk of agents communicating the wrong specifications
risk of agents placing the wrong price
risk of agents rugging / not delivering the service
risk of agents facilitating money laundering
risk of agents misidentifying counterparties

all the risks above bring the cost of commerce exponentially higher than the cost of payment

and turns out all these risks can be largely mitigated thru data availability onchain. and hence the strongest case yet for an agent commerce protocol, onchain
