Copart's $CPRT strategy was partly based on Disneyland $DIS. 

Copart's founder Willis Johnson's idea was as follows. 

In Disneyland, customers buy a ticket to enter the theme park. Once inside, customers are being tempted to buy even more things. Think of food and beverages, a picture with Mickey Mouse and a fast-track pass. 

Copart members (buyers) have to make a $XXX deposit, after which they obtain access to the platform. Once involved in bidding for salvage cars, Copart receives several fees. Think of gate fees, a winning bid fee, a storage fee and possible transportation fees. 

By utilizing this strategy, Copart creates multiple income streams.
