Considering the exchange rate of the Syrian pound and euros and the sanctions against Syria soon to be lifted, I’m saving every penny I got to buy majority shares of the main sectors of the Syrian economy.

Of course my competitors will only be Turkish, Qarari and KSA investors.
„Brotherly nations“ - what happens to a country whose economy is in the hands of foreign actors instead of the Syrian people?

I’ve talked about this and the long term consequences of lifting the sanctions all at once (or rather without a proper plan) - lots of Syrians were angry at this comment, saying that I was unhappy with the lifting of sanctions because I want to see Syria suffer(??); despite my own people: Kurds suffering heavily from these sanctions.

I guess this is how it is now, when critical voices are being silenced or ignored and voices are being uplifted that blindly cheer for anything - to build engagements on social media.
