Earnings are down mainly due to increased provisions for credit losses. Mgmt struck an optimistic tone and are confident in their ability to continue generating their 15%+ ROE target over the medium term. “We expect Q3 and beyond to show better performance even as economic uncertainty may continue to drive credit provisions”
