In short, it's a coin for people who keep their word, and as a result, the community is curated of trustworthy and honorable web3 enthusiasts. Along with that, it comes with some pretty special collaborations (i.e., I bought X @GoodVibesssClub NFT's in presale at .069 all thanks to this amazing community and its members). If you're wondering how I can be so sure the community is honorable, well, maybe you should just read on. But first, let's step back to the end of 2024 when I was first invited to be part of @thepledgememe project experiment prior to launch. This was also around the time @ethos_network started to onboard people. Evidently, the space was craving ways to identify reputations after years of deception and fraud. So, to start, the pledge experiment decided to airdrop 1000 invitees coins as long as they "pledged" to only sell X% a month. With this pledge, we put our reputation on the line by agreeing not to sell more than 1%/month no matter the temptation. We had to prove our word is our bond. And if we broke this pledge, your word was clearly not your bond. So how has this experiment gone? Of the 1000 invitees airdropped free tokens, about XXX are left! This means that about XXX cared more about money than their word and reputation. To give you an idea about the honor of the XXX who have stayed, when I was looking at the price of my free airdrop above 20k USD, i never wavered. My word is more important than any dollar amount. I remember chatting with my fellow OG pledger buddy @_xCHEOx_ about this and he felt the same way - an honorable guy, I know him well. Although many of us thwarted temptation, for about XXX others the money was more important than their word. And that tells me a lot about them. To wrap this up, I feel lucky to be part of the $pledge community. It's just another verification to reputation that can be used along with the @ethos_network.
