Exactly today, XX years ago, Dish Network, the satellite TV provider, announced on May 29, 2014, that it would start accepting Bitcoin as a payment method, becoming the first subscription-TV provider to do so.
They partnered with @coinbase, a popular online wallet, to process the payments and planned to begin accepting the cryptocurrency from the third quarter of that year, which starts in July...👀😱
