SM Entertainment and China’s Tencent Music have signed a business agreement to establish an cooperation system.

The two companies will join forces to create a Chinese idol group targeted to debut within 2-3 years, with SM handling the entire production process, including casting, training, and production, and TME handling local promotion, recording, and music distribution.

In the performance area, they will strengthen cooperation on SM artists' tours, including the upcoming SMTOWN LIVE concert in Hong Kong in 2026. They will also launch a live streaming service utilizing SM's Beyond LIVE technology.
