Dramatic footage shows US-bound Boeing XXX accelerating along the runway before suffering a right engine failure - forcing the flight to be abandoned.

Officials at Beijing Capital International Airport said that Flight UA889 to San Francisco was cancelled due to a mechanical failure that affected both engines on Monday, May XX.

United Airlines confirmed that the flight was cancelled due to a technical malfunction.
