What is Pudgy Penguins?

Pudgy Penguins started as an NFT collection of XXXXX cartoon pengus, launched on Ethereum in July 2021. Since then, it’s evolved into a global IP brand with offerings such as:
- NFT collections: @pudgypenguins, @lilpudgys, Pudgy Rods
- $PENGU token
- Toys like plushies and figurines with 1.5M+ units sold at retailers: Walmart, Target, and Australia’s Big W
- Digital games: @PudgyWorld_, @PenguClash, and @PlayPudgyParty 
- Multiple social media accounts with millions of followers combined
- TV Show
- Overpass IP: a platform where holders can license their NFTs for use in physical products, media, and more
- There's probably so much more that I forgot to mention 💀

But Pudgy’s story isn’t just collectibles and cute art. It’s one of the greatest comeback arcs in crypto. Founded by college students including ColeThereum, the project sold out in under XX minutes and hit a 3.8ETH floor within days (according to @coingecko). Then it stalled. Promises went unfulfilled, accusations of misused funds blew up, and sentiment collapsed. When @9x9x9eth called out the team and attempted a takeover, the community rallied. Until @LucaNetz  stepped in, outbid him, and officially acquired the project for XXX ETH (~$2.5M) on April 4th, 2022. That takeover marked the start of a redemption arc no one saw coming.
