I started investing in 2012. The first X years were painful accumulation. Save invest repeat. Not much movement.

Then all of a sudden, Covid happened, the portfolio crashed 50%. I held on with a firm belief in the stock market.

The rebound was amazing. Portfolio 20+X from the lows. Helped me achieve FIRE and live life on my own terms.

The market will give you an opportunity once every decade to change your life. You just have to survive till then and not do anything stupid.
