Through the subsequent decades, the ginger ale was bought by various companies. 
In 1982, Dr. Pepper bought the brand, and two years later it was sold to R.J. Reynolds' Del Monte Foods. Cadbury Schweppes bought it in 1986, and sold it to Keurig Dr Pepper in 2008.
