Jameel Motors might be an unfamiliar name to most of you but the vehicle distribute company is well-known in other markets like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Monaco etc. The XX years old company distributes big automotive brands like Toyota, Lexus, Ford, BYD, GAC Motor, MG etc.

Locally, the vehicle distributor will launch two new vehicle brands, namely Changan Automobile and Deepal. The former focuses internal combustion engine powered vehicles while the latter focuses on new energy vehicles.

Jameel Motors' local arm will start selling the Changan Alsvin sedan (ideal for e-hailing), the Changan Hunter bakkie (a re-skinned Peugeot Landtrek) and the CS75 Pro SUV during the fourth-quarter of 2024. More models from Changan like an electric bakkie will follow In 2026. Next year, the Deepal brand will launch its futuristic-looking electric S07 SUV.

Both vehicle brands will be sold at the same dealership and a parts warehouse will be open to ensure parts a readily available.
