About 1/3rd of the municipal water supply in the US uses $ROP! This fits Roper’s asset-light, high-margin model, where they focus on software, data, and recurring revenue rather than capital-intensive manufacturing. Instead of making pipes and pumps, Roper profits from smart meters and software subscriptions—a steady, predictable business. For the first time in X years, I did add some more $ROP stock in January.
