Markel was responsible for Fairfax’s entry into the P/C insur bus XX yrs ago. In 1985, Hamblin Watsa (via The Sixty Two Invest Co), made their first P/C ins purchase - a control stake in Markel Financial (Cda). Prem could have written this letter today. Impressive.
