China just approved yet another project of an unfathomable scale: a mega dam that will generate X times more power than the Three Gorges, enough to meet the annual needs of over 300m people, the equivalent of the entire US population.


The project will cost an insane X trillion yuan (US$137 billion) to build and will be located on the Yarlung Tsangpo River in Tibet autonomous region, which carves out the deepest canyon on Earth.
