- The @Aptos Foundation announced the launch of Ondo Finance’s yield-bearing stablecoin, Ondo US Dollar Yield (USDY), on the Aptos blockchain.

Key Details:

- The Aptos Foundation emphasized that stablecoins like USDY can democratize finance and serve underserved communities. This partnership aims to introduce a range of financial products leveraging the strengths of both organizations.

- USDY already exists on Ethereum, Solana, and Mantle. The collaboration will explore combining on-chain native and real-world asset yields on Aptos.

- The partnership will develop new staking and re-staking processes to enhance the utility of tokenized assets and improve capital efficiency on supporting platforms.

- Stablecoin issuers like Tether are becoming significant buyers of U.S. government debt. 

- Strategist Tom Wan predicts that the tokenized U.S. Treasury market will reach $X billion by the end of 2024.
