Obviously, it's not alone. All Western media are doing same things, media from other countries such as Singapore is also copying their stories, and there are also many similar voices on Chinese social networks... and the US gov officials, such as Biden and Yelen are all part of it. The Chinese economy is certainly not perfect, and the real estate industry is indeed poor, but China's technology and manufacturing are in their best time, the idea of "China's economy is bad" is so widespread I think mainly due to the power of the US propaganda machine. Thinking about the previous Wuhan Lab story and Xinjiang concentration camps story, American propaganda machines were able to make those things known to everyone, and a considerable number of people believed it. Of course, they could bring the idea that "the Chinese economy is bad" to everyone. Moreover, the real economy is somehow related to people's belief. When more people are influenced by this propaganda and start to believe that the economy is bad, they would reduce consumption and sell stocks, foreign capital outflow, further promoted the difficult situation of the economy. China has already lost many times in the propaganda war started by the United States, and again this time. I absolutely believe that I have the truth, but the voice of my kind is too small. Their vioce is too big. However, propaganda is propaganda and it can only have a certain degree of effect, but never decisive. China's GDP growth is still 5.2%. China still breaks through the bottleneck of 7nm chips. China ranks first in the world in automobile exports; China monopolizes global batteries and photovoltaics... these are the real Chinese economy.
