⚠️ FUN FACT: There is a common misconception on crypto Twitter that today, April XX (2011), was the day of Satoshi Nakamoto's final message. 👇🏻

This is actually false‼️ Mike Hearn (former Google engineer, the original author of "Bitcoinj" and a former contributor to #Bitcoin Core) stated that:

"He communicated with a few of the core developers before leaving. He told myself and Gavin that he had moved on to other things and that the project was in good hands."

What he is referring to here is the final email by Satoshi Nakamoto, stating:

"I've moved on to other things. It's in good hands with Gavin and everyone.

I do hope your BitcoinJ continues to be developed into an alternative client. It gives Java devs something to work on, and it's easier with a simpler foundation that doesn't have to do everything. It'll get critical mass when impatient new users can get started using it while the other one is still downloading the block chain."
