[--] No. [--] F# minor (second time with overhead camera view for study) When Rachmaninoff started writing his Prleudes op.23 perhaps he was taking his inspiration in Chopin's [--] Preludes. He did end up writing "his" [--] Preludes ( even more - [--] if we are to count those which he left out) it took him seven years - 1903-1910 and his style changed dramatically. This - opening prelude with its haunting melody a "dialog" between low and high voices in the middle part slowly oscillating chromatic accompaniment in the left hand definitely reminds of Chopin works not only some"
