"Make two for twice the price Big shoutout to Adam Savage (@tested) for this game-changing lessonIve learned (and broken) so much with way more confidence. Thanks Mr. Savage Heres the deal: If you need one part make two Why Because in blacksmithing things love to go wrongespecially during heat treat and testing. If your first part fails youve got a backup and youre back in business. It takes more time and yeah it costs extra but trust me its totally worth it. And heres the fun part: when you dont break the backup you end up with extra pieces for other projects Sometimes they turn into"

The attacker and the receiver of the attack follow a form. Every part and every movement have been passed down from martial artists of years past. The practice of kata needs to become second nature. Cutting bales is a great way to test your skills and move forward. The tiniest things make a difference; cutting bales shows those faults. These reeds are collected bound and then dried. Once dry they are bound tighter and an additional layer of string is added for structure. Then they are submerged in water to rehydrate the bales making them firmer. They are removed from he water to dry. Then the fun begins. Repeat as necessary. It would be great to learn all"

"Kenshin's Sakabat katana needs to be forged because how this works. Most blades for warfare curve backwards. This gives them the ability to have a strong long-lasting handle. Most importantly is how they distribute the cutting edge throughout the target. That little sweep allows the cutting edge to "slowly" penetrate over the cut. A scythe has the reverse as it's a tool to harvest and prune. This blade curves exposing more of its surface to the object at one time. This action transfers force to the object causing it to move slightly in the direction of the cut. Simply put it takes less energy"

"My Cat mask. Check out this new mold this is my first three-part mold for casting. I've updated my Ninja cat mask. With the new sculpt comes a new mold. The new mold is an essential part of this. The last Neko mask was a sad mold. I would tape the ears together to have it pour properly. So I'm excited to have a mold that is a little more high-tech. The fast that makes it so much cleaner with minor cleanup makes it even better. I also rant about Kumo Gakure Ryu and their use of Masks. I enjoy the idea of protecting an area with legend. Spreading rumours and having their legend told was a great"

"Forging these Ninja Shuriken did not turn out as planed Ryobarigata shuriken or double-ended Shuriken for the use of Shuriken no Jutsu. I've been thinking about this style for a while now. It combines a need type a double-ended and an over-weighted center. That means this throwing blade carries a lot of energy when it hits its target has a sharp point and a high polish to slow corrosion. I've forged it from a bit of high-carbon steel I'd found. I've made a few things from this steel so far. Three sets of sai and a pair of Wolverine-style claws. I know how it works and I really like it. These"

"Shuko and ashiko work together with your taijutsu. A henka of Fudo from Shinden fudo Ryu The best use of Shuko and Ashiko is to strengthen your own personal taijutsu. Take kata that you already know and love and add Shuko to see what would change. In the case of Fudo very little needs to change. The kata is one with little movement and you drop your partner directly in front of you. This is great for when you are wearing tools on your feet as well. When you need to grab the shoulder preparing for the throw the teeth do all the work of gripping and they would add a fair amount of distraction."

"Abandoned Projects About a year ago someone asked me Do you have any abandoned projects I confidently said noand immediately regretted it. Since then Ive been collecting a pile of unfinished steel projects each set aside for its own mysterious reason. Theres a whole mix in there: kunai tanto tiny knives scalpels razor blades kitchen knives a scythe even one a carry no memory ofall tossed into the box where unfinished dreams go to rest. But heres the funny part: I cant bring myself to throw them out. Every piece in that pile is a reminder of learning loss and letting go (sort of). Its a"

Thanks Mr. Savage Heres the deal: If you need one part make two Why Because in blacksmithing things love to go wrongespecially during heat treat and testing. If your first part fails youve got a backup and youre back in business. It takes more time and yeah it costs extra but trust me its totally worth it.

"Fighting using Kama this short range tool has a few surprises Fighting with a scythe has more than a few abilities that make this a formidable tool. Mind you it is a close range on you will need to take over the space but once you have closed the gap this tool comes to life. With slashing and stabbing available it does just as well as a hook pulling and controlling your adversary. This technique also works on the weapons of your opponent. You will have to be fast and confident and if so this could be the tool for you. Kama no jutsu becomes kusari-gama no jutsu by changing just a few points"

"Never underestimate an enemy This simple farming tool is found worldwide. Playing a supportive part in many martial arts just as a syicle it's known as kama no jutsu. This scythe is a short-range tool featuring a single-edged blade that is perpendicular to the handle. allowing thrusting attacks from off angles compared to standard warfare. With slicing hooking and controlling this weapon offers a variety of attacks. Sadly unless you want to throw it all the attacks are close range. A kama user needs to be comfortable taking over the space and fighting close up. The scythe evolves into a"

"I Stopped everything I was doing for two day just to save time I may not have thought this through A sythe or kama is quite simply a tool to harvest crops. It has a simple handle and a sharp blade. "Forging is complete now for Heat-treatment time to black out the shop and let the steel shine I want a dark cherry red that has just lost its magnetic ability. To best see this i need to remove any extra light that is around me in the blacksmith forge. With as much light removed I can now best read the temperature of the steel. The next trick is not to look into the forge. It's bright and will change my perception of the colour of steel. I love it; I get why long ago we would look to blacksmiths with wonder. Shutting out all the light to see what they're doing. thats not an intuitive thought."

"Mastering The Katana: Everything You Need To Know About This Incredible Weapon The katana is my favourite tool out of all of my favourite tools. The Japanese katana is a symbol of quality and power. It is functional artwork esthetically pleasing and balanced. While maintaining a lethality second to no other sword. Rules are rarely fun. Just the same these rules keep everyone safe and without a need for stitches. Granted it's rare to have the opportunity to work with or see Katana. Chance favours the prepared mind and with that philosophy in mind I present my understanding of the use and"

These"

"Kusari-gama options tell a lot of you as Martial Artist There are countless variations of this tool. Three blade types multiple hand positions. Handles can be fully armed with steel or as few as a few steel bands. Ancour points at different ends of the weapon. Chain weights lengths and sizes of all different shapes and finally the weight in the end round square-bladed. There are numerous options available for this one tool. Those options tell a story of your fighting style. The kusari-gama I believe is one of the most uniquely modified tools of the Sengoku Jidai. Within ninjutsu we see farm"

Yet clove oil has also been added as an antiseptic and an antibacterial. Making for a very clean blade. Being cut by this blade would be much nicer than being cut by a rusty blade even though in both cases you are still being cut. Healing will be easier and faster with a clean wound. The all-purpose grappling hook isn't the right fit. A climbing hook needs to be a specialized tool for that job. Sadly it's a tool that will most often be left behind. The hook grabs onto whatever you place it upon so how the hook is forged and shaped is important for the task. Small hooks attached to ropes were used to hold people and huge hooks held ships in place. No matter the size they all have a similar property making them useful for many tasks. Not only can you make anything you want (made of steel) knives swords and spoons but making itself is a joy. Mind you it is dangerous but extraordinary fun. If I don't label it now I'm going to mess things up. In the future there will be a case for this tool. With a space for every part and each one of those spaces will be covered in felt.

Turns out it's kind of both. A non-lethal weapon would be one that can just harm and go no further. Okay that i understand. Ninjas were a peasant class; as such so was their clothing. Ment for labour and crafting. "Non-lethal weapon can there be such a thing This all started as a question: What could be used as a non-lethal improvised weapon First of all i didn't think of the question as a martial art question more of a zen koan a question to stop the mind. Turns out it's kind of both. A non-lethal weapon would be one that can just harm and go no further. Okay that i understand. As there are non-lethal weapons like makibishi sure they hurt but they don't end anything. but clearly designed as a weapon. My one idea so far the Lemon hammer you only get one good hit. "Were Samurai lying or just up holding there belief By law Samurai had to carry two swords to show their position as Samurai. A Samurai is always to have a weapon and be prepared for battle. Yet Samurai also needed to attend the tea ceremony. No weapons are allowed within the tea room. A samurai is always armed even when they are not To uphold this arrangement the craftspeople of the day hid blades and spikes within everyday items. Fans brushes and pipes for example. Here lay the dilemma. They must be armed and unarmed at the same time. They carried weapons into the tea room. What side of"

"The beginning of something beautiful Kana Bo first step and first thoughts upon this tool Long story short it's awesome The main body isn't finished but it already moves well. thats great cause it's still quite clunky. The next step is to tape over the main body. This will help move the balance toward the handle. The steel will add weight but it will be evenly distributed throughout the body. im guessing but I bet that bottom ring has more to do with balance than use in combat. So much to learn. ninjitsu ninjutsu ninpo ninjitsu ninjutsu ninpo"

I want every single one to be sharp But first I need to draw them out and cut them. By doing all of this at once it saves time and charcoal. "Dangerous tools are fun but you might get hurt If you miss your target with these spikes there is a good chance that the sharp end is sticking straight up While training that's all fine as long as you don't take your eye off that spot and pick it up right away. In use you could throw them as traps and move your adversary into that area. Helpful to be able to throw traps while having them distracted. Yet if the plan changes you'd best remember all of those areas. To add to use if you miss or they move that spike is now a danger as well. Depending on how many you had and the distance in which"

These"

"Forging a custom Ryobarigata shuriken to replace my favorite throwing knife #martialarts The ryobarigata shuriken is a double-ended sharp shuriken with a heavy center. The heavy center provides it with additional weight allowing it to travel deeper into its target. This throwing blade was forged from high-carbon steel. I've used this steel for a few other projects so far and I've been happy with the result. In the end they throw just as i wanted them to. They're well-balanced and sink into the target with little effort. Yet now that i have finished them I want them as hand-to-hand tools. I"

Handles can be fully armed with steel or as few as a few steel bands. Ancour points at different ends of the weapon.
