"Yamaha DGX-530 piano: [--] non-weighted keys kinda unusual right Yes it's not often you see a piano with [--] keys that isn't weighted. The Yamaha DGX-530 is one such keyboard. Yamaha markets it as having a 'graded' key action meaning that it's slightly heavier at the bottom end than the top. But really it just ends up feeling like an oversized home keyboard - which is exactly what some people want :)"

"The KAWAI K1 - A transitional synth I see the KAWAI K1 as a transition between technological ages. The prominent feature is the 4-way joystick control which is a great concept but is let down by a profound lack of refinement in its relationship to the sounds. But it was an introduction to an era (the 90's) that embraced dynamic with great gusto As it was though the K1's sonic legacy is a box of hammers - you'll see what I mean"

The Casio XW-G1 and me well we tried. We really did. But there would never be the interactivity that I craved and admittedly I wasn't tenacious enough to be the right man for this complicated complicated machine. "Realistic MG-1 by MOOG: Taste the PAIN-bow I've never felt creatively at ease with Moog synths or any synths of this ilk. There I said it. It's fierce intricate and temperamental - a nightmare for the live player who needs to set up for a new song in the few seconds before it starts. Helpful in the studio I guess but ultimately .you just have to be made for Moog. This one the MG-1 was actually released under the "Realistic" brand name"

"Guitar pedals under $15 brand new BUDGET guitar pedals in 2026: Some real talent here These were all bought for under $US15. Admittedly there was a big sale on at the time but this test of [--] completely different pedals shows us that the quality to price ratio is about to get VERY blurry"

"Roland EXR-3 sound check demo tour A quick run through some of the factory presets of the Roland EXR-3. It's a pedestrian keyboard covering all the basic bases competently without any spark or personality. Like being taken to Sizzler by your uncle who is an accountant working for the government. General MIDI pitch/mod controller decent screen. Yawn"

"Digitech GNX3 Multi effects pedal demo and tour This is the very full-featured Digitech GNX3. It has a mass of effects an [--] track digital recorder drum rhythms and MIDI accessibility. You could use it to complete a comprehensive audio project in theory. As an actual effects processor though - It's primary function - it does fall slightly short of the mark when compared to other FX systems in the same class. It should be added that there is a good looper built into it which was not demonstrated in this video"

"Yamaha PSR-500: Demo and review First of all: SORRY ABOUT THE GLITCHY VIDEO This is caused by the auto-stabilize feature that Youtube used to offer. No more. The PSR carries on invincibly. This is the PSR-500 from around [----]. It was one of the last models of keyboard to avoid the limiting caress of General MIDI. A pretty good unit"

"Yamaha PSS-F30 the miniature Yamaha PSR .with miniature attitude I think not. If Yamaha wanted to make a keyboard for kids then mission accomplished - nothing more to say. But for any adults who can't detach from their favorite PSR sounds perhaps wanting them discreetly tagged along with their more age-appropriate setup the PSS-F30 could be just the right accessory"

"Yamaha EZ-30. Key lights on a Yamaha Yep and theres more I've seen a few Yamaha EZ series keyboards around quietly standing on the sideline of Yamaha's expansive field. But they're actually pretty good keyboards give or take the key-lighting system - which looks cool but is kind of useless"

"Casio XW-DJ1: CRAZY BEATS Welcome to the crazy sounds of Casio's XW-DJ1. I found it's ungainly approach to DJ-ing quite amusing and engaging. The effects section is a real highlight creating a lot of strange and unique sound that would be really usable (with the help of a sampler)"

"Yamaha DGX-205 Portable Grand: MORE than just a learner's keyboard The Yamaha DGX-205 gives you everything you need for learning. The semi-weighted 76-key keyboard feels good to play and there are lessons built-in that could be a useful addition to face-to-face lessons. The sounds are practical and extensive. Note that if you're looking for dynamic synthesizer fun radical effects and general sonic acrobatics - this isn't the keyboard for you"

"This is great Casio WK-3700 synth keyboard with DSP and ZPI processor Take your hands off the mouse and listen to this entire demo This great keyboard from around [----] keeps up and in many ways surpasses the current (2021) models from Casio and many other brands. More vibrant sounds better effects synth capabilities and more inspiring rhythms. Keep a lookout for the WK3700 with that all-important ZPI processor. Stay tuned for part 2"
