They're not supposed to be a speculative asset class for people taking a break from trading in the markets. The measure of success of the token is it's long term utility - it's ability to strengthen engagement retention and even help grow the user base. "I would agree with this too and perhaps my explanation was inelegant - I was trying to say that that upward price potential is the consequence of other things but not the primary point of the tokenomics - it should be the positive externality of engagement etc. So if everyone using the product is just there for the trade then the tokenomics dont work (which also doesnt make it a scam).
