This looks like simple ping-pong motion but lets dive in to the tech: We use a 2.5ns timer for a dedicated Arm M4F core to step the X axis in 14um steps. using an S motion profile for smooth ramp and decel with pos feedback using an eQEP encoder down to (iirc) +-2.5um position - we derive good vel/accel/jerk here too. Part of our process fires a thousand 4pL droplets of different materials through air to the bed surface at 20kHz. they should land with 18um precision atm. With a bed speed of 2m/s we need to trigger actions with ns precision - like the lamp you see"

"btw this Fabricator is on a rocky platform on purpose. helps confirm the input shaping effectiveness. Its turned off above but compare with below. We measure the resonant frequencies in the bed then filter them out by shaping the discrete input stepping signal after the motion profile is calculated.
