"I dont think that is necessary. Volume is def the largest determinant of points. Holding open for a little may help if the protocol provides fewer points per volume to users who open/close quickly (lighter seemed to do this not sure about extended). And if you are long youll pay the funding rate. My goals may be different than yours which is why I hold open and dont trade much: - Use Vault XVS and hit max yield - Collect funding by being short (hedged elsewhere) - Still earn points with open positions but not optimizing for this - Try not to pay fees"
