"I usually try not to pile on to public outrage over tweaks to services like X but Im genuinely dumbfounded by the algorithm right now. A few weeks ago it was at least halfway decent. It always leaned too hard into recency and political outrage but I could usually understand why certain posts were being shown to me. Over the last week though its been absolute garbage. Most of what Im seeing feels like inside jokes or posts with zero context to the point where I cant even tell what the person is referencing. Im not interested in doing homework just to figure out what someone is talking about."
