These are independently owned and just use the name under a licensing agreement. The profits go to their American owners and they source their fuel from U.S. suppliers not Russia. One should know this because when the invasion began local governments tried to organize a boycott of these stations on the mistaken assumption that they had something to do with Russia. These all fizzled out when the ownership was clarified"

By this they mean the parts they havent conquered they are giving them up because of the fiction that they are Russian.
