"most ppl do not realize that building consumer ai stuff so hard because inference costs dont just scale linearly with users they explode with engagement intensity which means as your product actually gets good (people use it longer richer context windows multimodal inputs etc.) your margins implode. consumer ai right now is like building netflix when bandwidth cost $50/GB. you either need funding to subsidize vertical integration (own your own infra/model) or some clever local/offline caching tricks to scale. or charge a lot money to your users"
