"I did not think $rig would get over 400k for Skyros. While the rate doesnt include MOB Id be willing to bet its on Transocean to get to Australia which will probably be X to X million just in fuel. "This is why I said last week that I was impressed with the Skyros contract bc I was expecting rates to be in the 300s. I still think this is a solid contract for $Val and XX times better than where we were a few years ago. This is just another reality check for the ppl who said that we were close to 650k day rates again. For the ppl that are disappointed with Vals contract when compared to Transocean I would say that these rates arent always linear. Like I mentioned before itll probably cost at least X million in fuel just to get the Skyros to Australia so you can take 13k right off the top"
