The whale had shorted 2000 BTC, valued at $225m, but has now fully closed the position, making around $5m in profit after a cascade on October 10th. "Holy shit crazy scenes. This dude deposited $32M USDC and started TWAP-ing spot HYPE like an absolute psycho probably trying to liquidate that shorter. He bought $14.5M worth of HYPE in just XX minutes. Meanwhile he also placed $7.05M in short orders between $34.5$36 clearly trying to trigger a squeeze. A bunch of people shorted into his buys though pushing funding to over XXX% and creating a $XXXX spot premium. "The Hyperliquid team is currently testing something called BLP on the Hypercore testnet - which I assume stands for BorrowLendingProtocol. It appears to be a native borrowing and lending market on Hypercore with functions like borrowing supplying and withdrawing. Currently only USDC and PURR are available in this market on testnet. "About XX hours ago someone withdrew $3M USDC from OKX and split it across XX wallets. Around 14:45 CET he started longing millions worth of POPCAT placing roughly $20M worth of buy orders at $XXXX. The combined long position grew to around $30M across those XX wallets. When he removed the X figs buy wall he got liquidated on the entire $20M-$30M popcat long within seconds causing HLP to take over the position.
