"Havent went to Torrisi in awhile so took a group of clients last night. Packed as always. Ordered the San Gennaro Bao and American Ham with Zeppole to start. Waiter came back and said they didnt have the Baos tonight but brought the Ham and the Cucumbers New Yorkese as a replacement for the Baos. The Ham and Zeppole is just fantastic and came with a slide of pineapple to pair ham had really great flavor and texture. Really wouldnt change anything about this dish. The Cucumbers were refreshing and wouldnt skip those next time either. Might even have them post pasta next time. We shared three"

I love that you can not only order brilliant aged wines by the glass but even by the half glass which is what I do. I really dont think we have something like Noble Rot in NYC. Started off with the [----] Charles Lachaux Bourgogne Aligote 'Les Champs d'Argent' paired with the Hand-Dived Scallop with Cafe de Paris Butter. This was a brilliant match. This is a vintner I usually love and Ive had and enjoyed other Vintages of The Boy but man this was just not good. "Sarah and I had a wonderful dinner at restaurant LOstal featuring the Provencal themed cuisine of Chef Jared Sippel. We started with the both beautiful and delicious house made Fougasse which is a traditional Provencal Bread with Olives Artichoke Roasted Garlic & Herbs de Provenance and served warm accompanied by spiced cashews beans olives and anchovies. If you go to LOstal and you should this is a great way to start. We paired this with two glasses of their house Champagne which worked really well. We then shared a lovely Salad Lyonnaise with the traditional bacon lardons soft cooked egg"

"Went to dinner early Saturday night to SouthEnd Uncorked on Elm Street in New Canaan. More of a Pub than a restaurant but in a good way. Shared seating on a couple of larger tables a few smaller individual tables as well. Ambiance was lively and very family friendly at that hour. One of the larger tables was full of young girls having Shirley Temples and Chicken tenders. The music they were playing was all my favorites including Oasis The Cure and Billy Idol. Two large TVs playing the Duke v UNC game (#GoDuke) and the Winter Olympics. Small but well thought out cocktail list with Seven"

"More often than not I am disappointed in [--] and [--] Michelin Star restaurants and find they fall short of my expectations. Last night was an exception in every way. The [--] Michelin Star Chefs Table at Brooklyn Fare is well worthy of their stars. The experience starts with a walk thru a grocery store to the back where the Chefs Table is located unassumingly behind curtains. The location is intimate with a bar with seating for guests circling the open kitchen area with additional tables opposite. Our meal started with a glass of Krug 171e. The Krug and our other wine choices all served in beautiful"
