"I dont think that most institutions should respond to market forces. But theres a particular problem in that many institutions are so insulated by power and wealth that they can afford to act in a way that is totally detached from reality. Responsive institutions need to pivot and face the important challenges that technological succession entails to be able to continue to fulfill their core missions. But some institutions have so much wealth they can just keep doing things they did XX years ago pretending the world hasnt changed because that takes less effort and because there are all sorts"
