"Here's the thing this isn't a real world example. DRIP isn't what all investors do and "outperformance" assume full reinvestment of distributions. 95% of the people that I know that hold $MSTY take the divvy so without DRIP capital erosion due to share price is the reality and total returns are much worse. Also $MSTY is for income generation perpetual DRIP defeats the whole purpose of the vehicle.
