"Sequans and Semler should seriously consider issuing Bitcoin-denominated convertible bonds to get mNAV back above X. Capital B doesn't get enough credit for pioneering this it's financial engineering at its finest. Add a XX% premium so that the conversion is at a mNAV comfortably above X and thus highly accretive. "There are people that are still selling Strategy Metaplanet Smarter Web Capital B etc today. Now who knows maybe they will continue to go down further but selling at such prices feels stupid to me. If you're going to sell at least sell high not when the stocks are already down 50-90%. I always think about the people who sold Bitcoin last cycle below $17k after it had already dropped from the near $70k ATH in 2021. Of course that was near the bottom. before the slow reversal began. Again to be clear I'm not against selling. I just think selling when most of the drawdown has already happened is"

"They need to leverage up I agree with that. Time will tell whether the Prefs turn out to be a success or not. Metaplanet don't plan to sell the common stock to pay off the dividends for the Prefs btw. MSTR has outperformed Bitcoin since 2020. Whether it will continue to do so is up for each individual to decide. I'm wagering these Bitcoin Treasuries will do so. That being said most of my portfolio is in cold-storage Bitcoin"

"Well you've pretty much hit the nail on the head. The volatility of Bitcoin alone is not for most let alone these BTCTCs. Buying Metaplanet at this mNAV for example as you said pretty much guarantees at least Bitcoin returns. It's cognitive dissonance to think Bitcoin is going to $1mil and then to fade the companies accumulating the most Bitcoin. I think we'll look back on this with bewilderment"

"For the record I think that long term Strive and Nakamoto will do relatively well from here. They will never be the darlings of the scene like Strategy or Metaplanet but the truth is they will outperform XX% of equities. Obviously if you bought before the unlocks you're likely never making that back in Bitcoin terms. Permitted there aren't any more silly deals. even at X mNAV you'll get outperformance or if they do not deviate too far from this. This is the power of having Bitcoin on the balance sheet.
