"This reminds me of my trip to Everest (We call it Qomolangma in China) Base Camp on the Chinese side X years ago also in October. From over 5000 meters above sea level the Himalayas felt close enough to touch. Everest itself was only about XX km away and didn't seem that tall from base camp. What was overwhelming though was thin air. I spent nearly XXX USD on a big bottle of oxygen in order to stay the night alive in a tent. My travel buddies who were pretty sure they would be fine up there ended up borrowing it too one by one we shared it like a campfire. Around midnight I stepped outside."
