"I'd say high bandwidth is a more dangerous assumption to make than high compute reqs. The basic reason is if you have a computer you (generally) can expect to keep that computer but an internet connection has no such guarantees. Reasons: * censorship * disruption to internet physical infra (yes starlink too is vulnerable) Also rural environments have much weaker options for connectivity than urban options and often even a lot of money can't bypass that reality whereas with computers you can just buy it and get it delivered once"
