Headphones on tape deck in hand in my pockets was a new set of tapes I had bought with my own money from @gracetoyou. I had previously used a radio to listen to @johnmacarthur. He was on each morning at 9:30 (homeschooling ftw). He taught like my pastor taught every Sunday: through the Scriptures. A habit I have found that helps insulate the hearers from the fallibility of the speaker. Over my formative years I learned how to handle the Scriptures: with humility"
