"Running some bottom-up stock screens this afternoon looking for deep value ( stocks below net tangible and net current assets). Haven't found any good ones in awhile. Looking at any potential candidates. This Chicago Atlantic BDC $LIEN hit the screen but it's a business development company in the cannabis industry which I actually like. "Grab a cup of coffee. This one is in-depth. We went from government backing rare earths to lithium now. The government is looking for a 10% stake in $LAC because of their North American largest lithium reserve. Lithium Americas is not based in the U.S. But U.S. based lithium miners may be in talks with the government right now if I had to speculate. I like the ETFs $LIT and $BATT long-term. BATT has the most U.S. based conpanies. Albermarle $ALB is the top holding at 7%. I'm thinking ahead though. "VGZ was just a trade for me. I'm in calls out to Dec. In past gold runs it always participated with big runs. I don't know much about their fundamentals or future outlook. I don't like precious metals companies as long-term investments because it's usually better just being long the metal itself or an ETF like GDX or GDXJ.
